And finally, the goose fields update this week:
- 1 adult GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE found on 11/11 continues through 11/16. (most often at Thornhurst Farm, North Yarmouth; photos from 11/14 at link below). Analysis of photos confirms that this is a second bird for the season.
- FIVE CACKLING GEESE (CACG), Thornhurst Farm, 11/16. One bird (found by Rob Spiers) has been present all week, most often seen along Greely Road, Cumberland. I believe the five ties my high count for the local fields, but I need to check on that. Photos obtained but not yet sorted. I'll post those to the store's Facebook page this weekend.
- Canada Goose high count this week: 885 on 11/11.
- 1 "Lesser-type" Canda Goose, Thornhurst Farm, 11/11 (Photos at link below).

- 1 juvenile AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER, Cross Road, Cumberland, 11/13 (with Jeannette, Doug Hitchcox, Frank Mitchell, and Pat Moynahan).
- 2 adult Bald Eagles have been frequenting Thornhurst Farm recently, "stirring the pot" regularly.
Photos of the "Lesser-type" CANG, GWFG, and WRSA are here:
