The ongoing power line construction project continues, this morning featuring a lot of helicopter overflights, trailing a long cable w/ a grappling hook at the end. Looked hairy to me.
Perhaps because of this, birds seemed to be hunkered down and weren't EZ to flush. 18 White-crowned Sparrows were the highlights (plus more heard/unseen); also a flock of ca 50 Am Pipits in a really tilled field (briefly). A small group of P Siskins w. a large group of Am Goldfinches.
