[Maine-birds] Essex Street surprise

​The green heron was still there. I found a hooded merganser, juvenile hanging out on a log with two mallards. The merganser was copying every preening move one of the mallards made. Just like a mirror! The behavior was comical. Maybe it was learning grooming from the mallards. Lots of fun to see.

Also saw an American wigeon.
