Hi all -- Visited Bass Harbor Marsh near Gott's store, then went along to Back Beach in Bernard just after sunrise. The marsh sported one distant Belted Kingfisher, and a perching/preening juv Bald Eagle.
-- The shoreline of Back Beach, against the edges of properties to the west of the access road, was teeming with a migration fall-out. Highlights:
3 Ruby-crowned Kinglets
1 Blue-headed Vireo
1 Red-eyed Vireo
60 - 80 White-throated Sparrows
1 Clay-colored Sparrow
1 Hermit Thrush
1 E. Phoebe
2 - 3 Yellow-rumps
It was so busy on land that I barely glanced out on the ocean.
Best,
Craig K
