My husband and I went for a ride yesterday from Skowhegan down to Flood Brothers Farm in Clinton to Benton Dam and back. We saw a Northern Harrier, a Kestrel and a Red Tailed Hawk all on one road as we were leaving. Robins were everywhere. At Flood Brothers there were approximately 208 Canada Geese and 6 Snow Geese. We also saw 2 Song Sparrows at the side of the road and a pair of Wood Ducks with a Hooded Merg in the stream nearby. At the Benton Dam we surprised an Osprey that flew up off the water. There were several Common Grackle on Rte 139 in Benton and 1 Killdeer in a field. It was a very eventful ride!
