[Maine-birds] Woodcocks and Pine Warbler in Cape Elizabeth

My yard is full of displaying woodcocks – at least four I believe – all quite fired up and displaying at 7:15 and beyond these nights. You are welcome to come over to the parking area at Great Pond Terrace (off Fowler Road) and enjoy the show.

 

Also saw a very unexpected Pine Warbler in the maples along Charles Jordan Road today. After I had very close looks at it, it flew off to join a group of bluebirds foraging on the bare group amidst the snow cover of the fields. Also saw Eastern Phoebes for the first time today at a couple of different spots…
