[Maine-birds] MACHIAS SEAL ISLAND REPORT

Well, after a very quiet few weeks, it looks as if the migration is actually showing signs of life.
Monday and Tuesday brought a few small flocks of BRANT, migrating flocks of GREAT CORMORANTS and increasing numbers of ALCIDS near the island.

There has also been a jump in the number of HARLEQUIN DUCKS, as is typical at this time of year, just before they all leave on migration.

There have been occasional singleton ROBINS and RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS over the past week.
However, this morning brought a handful of each of those species, perhaps a dozen SONG SPARROWS and a modest troop of JUNCOS.
