- More than double the previous record high count for Bald Eagles
- Record count for Red-bellied Woodpeckers
- Species of note on count day: Barred Owl, Great Horned Owl, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Iceland Gull, Glaucous Gull, Northern Shrike, Eastern Bluebird, Northern Mockingbird, Snow Bunting, Pine Grosbeak, Pine Siskin, Common Redpoll
Also, Today as I was traveling on 202 in Winthrop, I stopped at the open water crossing at Cobbosseecontee Lake, and was pleased to see:
a pair of Hooded Mergansers in amonst the mallards,
a juvenile eagle on the ice
and a Belted kingfisher!
