This festival will get you most of the pelagics.  Bicknell's would be a side trip.  Good luck and enjoy Maine!

Hi, my name is Adam Wood and I am from Texas. I am starting to work on planning a 5 day trip to Maine in search of a few targets birds:

Common Eider (would love to see it in breeding plumage)
Razorbill
Black Guillemot
Atlantic Puffin
Great Shearwater
Manx Shearwater
Wilson Storm-Petrel
Great Cormorant
Bicknell's Thrush (or are these easier in a bordering state like New Hampshire)
Saltmarsh Sparrow

I am hoping to plan the trip early enough in the summer around the time the Bicknell's Thrushes have arrived and are fairly reliable and the Common Eider are still in breeding plumage. I am thinking late May or early June would be good to accomplish that but would like confirmation. Also, are the pelagics aside from the Shearwaters and Storm-Petrel viewable from land in that time frame or what would be my best chances to see the pelagic species on my list. I know that the Maine Audubon Societies Pelagic Trip is in September but what are my options for this time frame. Thank you.
