Visitors:
With the start of the human work week, there was a major decline in the number of people stopping at the hawkwatch; four to be exact. There were others in the park but those were the only people to stop and chat.

Weather:
Another gorgeous, cloudless day on Bradbury. Air temperatures were chilly to start, at only 13 degrees, but rose to a high of 28 by the end of the count period. Wind, predominantly from the northwest, still has a bite to it. The sun's power certainly can be felt this time of year but with cold temps there is still a significant amount of snow on the summit. Visibility was quite clear.

Raptor Observations:
Not much to speak of today other than a pair of mature Eagles which were spotted multiple times, coming and going from the deciduous trees just adjacent to the center of town. It appears to be right next to a babbling brook where fly-fisherman cast lines in the warmer months. I'm interested to see if they continue to be spotted in the same location, or if this just happened to be a popular hangout for the day.

Non-raptor Observations:
Barred Owls continue to be heard in the woods surrounding the summit. Chickadees kept me company during the slower day today, flitting about, chattering back and forth just being Chickadees doing Chickadee things.

Predictions:
Tomorrow appears to be a decent day with slightly warmer temps topping out in the mid 30's. Winds from the northwest may persist throughout the morning but may shift towards southwest by the end of the day. A few clouds may roll in by the afternoon. With southwest winds predicted, I'm hopeful for a few more birds in the afternoon hours.
