A juvenile Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was seen and photographed around 8:30 this morning (7/11) at the Fitzgerald Preserve off the Old Bath Rd. in Brunswick. Photos should be on ebird later today. It was seen by 12 people.
Enter the preserve on Lindbergh Landing (Crossing) road 1.3 miles from the traffic light at Lowes beyond Cooks Corner. Walk past the gate until the fields open and take the first trail (gravel sandy path) to the right, then the next path to the left which goes away from the tree line. The bird was flying from tree to tree in this area often landing near the ground on small "dead" trees. It should also be seen from the "main" paved path straight into the middle of the preserve. It was observed for about 15 minutes.
