[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights, 7/7-7/13.

Hi all,

My observations of note over the past seven days were as follows:

- 20+ Roseate Terns, Piping Plover pair with 4 chicks, etc, Hill's Beach, Biddeford, 7/8 (with Birds on Tap - Roadtrip! tour group).

- 1 Whimbrel (first of fall), The Pool, Biddeford Pool (with Birds on Tap - Roadtrip! tour group).

- 1 Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Hidden Valley Nature Center, Jefferson, 7/9 (with Jeannette).

- 1 Downy Woodpecker, our yard in Pownal - the 1st life bird for our new puppy, Bonxie! 

- 2 Least Sandpipers (first of fall), 12 Black-bellied Plovers, Piping Plovers, etc, Popham Beach State Park, Phippsburg, 7/11 (with Laura Kennedy and Blount Small Ship Adventures tour group).

- 7 Short-billed Dowitcher (FOF) and 14 Black-bellied Plovers, Fort Popham, 7/11(with Laura Kennedy and Blount Small Ship Adventures tour group).
