Maine birders:
With Doug Hitchcox's permission, I forward here another great pelagic birding opportunity out of Massachusetts and into their waters. This is via Luke Seitz; so not as off-topic for Maine. He's one of "ours" and will be on the boat as a guide.

Hot on the heels of what I heard was another very successful Maine Audubon pelagic trip from Bar Harbor (bummed I missed it again!), I wanted to let Maine birders know about a warm/deep water pelagic trip being operated by the Brookline Bird Club down in Massachusetts this coming weekend. There are still a few spaces left - and it'll be a perfect complement to the Gulf of Maine specialties, perhaps including at least a few species that might never be seen in Maine (or at least not for a very very long time). Here's the official announcement:
Brookline Bird Club Dedicated Pelagic Trip.
There are still a few spots available.
Saturday–Sunday, September 22–23, 2018, 6:00 AM Saturday to 6 PM Sunday
Hyannis to Hydrographer, Veach, and Atlantis Canyon area for WHITE-FACED STORM PETRELS, other petrels (possibly Black-capped), several species of shearwaters (including Audubon's and Scopoli's), jaegers, possible skua, terns (maybe Bridled) and other seabirds and mammals.
Limit: 50 participants
Cost: BBC members $310, non-members $335
We have master birders Luke Seitz, Nick Bonomo, Pete Flood, and Mike Sylvia leading these trips. Our boat, from Hyannis is the Helen H. It is a very comfortable, fast, 100-foot fishing boat with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic captain and crew. We use gallons of chum to attract the birds
To reserve a space, send a check for the full amount made out to Brookline Bird Club Agent along with a signed Waiver to Ida Giriunas, 83 Summer Ave, Reading, MA 01867
