[Maine-birds] Phippsburg Flicker

Phippsburg, Me map 6 Popham Beach State Park
 
found on sand on farthest western end of the park a primary feather of Northern flicker, fresh, no damage. I'm guessing it had not been there long, nor washed up from elsewhere.  
Buffleheads in lagoon 8
Canada geese fly over 22
American Black ducks
Common Loon
Red BReasted mergansers 6
Am crows
Juncos
Chickadees
 
No Snowy owl/s
notable for absence no Cedar Waxwings.  
 
TONS of people and unleashed dogs crawling all over the place. Must have been a dozen or more dogs. Temp about 45 and almost no wind. Tremendous surf.
