The golden eagle was sitting on top of the sand mound when we drove up. There was also at least four bald eagles, many crows and several ravens. We also had glaucous and Iceland gulls.
Next stop was Whiskeag road to see the red-headed woodpecker, which was perched on a power pole in front of the house. There were two glaucous gulls along with a herring gull sitting right next to the chimney on the roof of the house trying to keep warm.
Speaking of keeping warm, we actually have made it up into the plus numbers it's 2° now.
