[Maine-birds] Yellow-crowned Night Heron on Mt. Desert Island this morning

Hi all -- just returned from an early morning walk on the Wonderland Trail in Acadia. Nearly high tide. Found and carefully observed a juv Y-c Night Heron along the eastern edge of Wonderland's outer point. There's a patch of spartina salt marsh in Bennet Cove here, and that's where the bird was foraging for inverts.

Full list here, including the details of the observed bird.

Cheers,
Craig K.
