[Maine-birds] Re: OT: mudflat insects

Bruce - I have to think you're seeing Tiger Beetles.  Popham  has a healthy populatipn. 
Glad you were able to get in early this morning.  I was there later and had to leave.  Not only abundant humanoids, but now they're flying kites over the shorebird loafing zone.
