I was glad to see around 20 Common Nighthawks yesterday evening (8/21), feeding over a field between Route 2 and the Sandy River in New Sharon. Has anyone else noted an almost complete absence of nighthawk numbers this year? I've been seeing only slightly more of them than bats.
