[Maine-birds] Belfast Bay census of Saturday, March 12, 2016

Gary Gulezian and I censused the bay this morning.   Weather was pleasant with sunny skies, light breezes (SW 0-10 mph), and unexpectedly comfortable temperatures (28-34 F.).   Birding was slow with 520 individuals seen among 15 species.  Numbers of Mallards and Herring Gulls dropped sharply, leading one to speculate that these birds were inland feeding at thawing fields and pastures.
