[Maine-birds] Acadia birds this week

Turkey Vulture. A friend reported being surprised to see a Turkey Vulture Thursday near the entrance to the Acadia National Park Visitor Center.

Snowy Owl. Yesterday, a Snowy Owl was perched on the meteorological station at McFarland Hill, across the street from the Acadia National Park Headquarters.

And today, on a Downeast Audubon field trip to Acadia National Park’s Schoodic Peninsula, the highlight was five cooperative Harlequin Ducks seen well at Schoodic Point.
