I observed a Red-shouldered Hawk perched on a tree next to the Pennamaquan River in Pembroke this afternoon. It seems to be the first eBird report of a Red-shouldered Hawk for the month of February in Washington County. Also, I found a mixed group of waxwings with a few robins foraging apples on a tree near the Pembroke Racetrack. See photos of the hawk and an eBird report at
