[Maine-birds] Fwd: FW: Invitation for ISS contributors: Wader Conservation World Watch

Hello birders!  As the state shorebird biologist as of this spring, I invite you all to participate in an international effort this weekend to record all of your shorebirds sightings for the Wader Conservation World Watch.

https://www.waderquest.net/events/wader-conservation-world-watch/

Please read below for more details on the effort.

Here is a summary of recording details:

Why not join in? It's simple to take part, no registration, no counting (unless you wish to).

  • Simply go and see waders or shorebirds (birds of the suborder Charadrii).

  • Tell us what you saw, where and with whom you saw it, (send us photos if you have them) via email: wcww@waderquest.net OR share your eBird list(s) with user name WaderQuestTeam.

Please reach out to me if you have any questions. Let's get some Maine birders on that Roll of Honour next year!

Cheers,

Brad

Wader Conservation World Watch

An invitation for ISS

on 11/6/2021 & 11/7/2021

Conduct your survey for #WCWW8

Wader Conservation World Watch

Did you know in much of the world, shorebirds are called Waders? Since 2012 waderquest.net has been an advocate for waders and shorebirds across the globe, launching Wader Conservation World Watch #WCWW8 to highlight shorebirds and the problems they are facing and to celebrate the people involved in their conservation.

For the second year in a row, we want to invite you to join the celebration. Wader Quest asks all shorebird enthusiasts to find shorebirds on the first weekend in November. Conduct your ISS count that weekend and share your eBird checklist with "WaderQuestTeam" or send what you saw, where, and with whom, plus fun photos of birds or birders in action to wcww@waderquest.net. All shorebirds seen by ISS contributors on Nov 6 & 7 will be added to the WWCW totals, so cover your ISS sites!

STAND UP FOR WADER CONSERVATION AND SAY: I CARE!

OBRIGADO!
