We have had a male yellow-bellied sapsucker hanging around. I know this is not supposed to be common for winter in Maine but this is the second or third winter one has remained. Have others seen them as well? We are curious as to whether this is another bird that's generally staying north more often now than in previous years. I know when I reported one on a GBBC list once in the last couple of years, the list questioned my accuracy. :)
Thank you!
