RE: [Maine-birds] york beach glaucous

I also had a glaucous gull about 0730 this morning on the mostly frozen Royal River behind the Royal River Grillhouse. Apparent 2nd winter bird, crazy white and darn beautiful…it decided to fly away upriver about 4 seconds before I got my camera focused through the spotting scope!!!

At 420 this afternoon (Thursday) I saw a Glaucous Gull on Long Sands Beach loafing with ring-billed and herring gulls.  White all over, very large size, pink bill with dark tip.  Was just north of the bathhouse.
