Hi all,
My additional observations of note over the past seven days included:
- 1 Belted Kingfisher with the continuing "merganser hat trick," Grist Mill Park, Yarmouth, 1/4 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
- 1 immature RED-SHOULDERED HAWK, apparent southbound migrant low over the South Freeport Yacht Club, 1/4 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
- 2 Snow Buntings, Pine Point Beach, Scarborough, 1/5 (with Kristen Lindquist).
- 3 Horned Larks, Two Lights Road, Cape Elizabeth, 1/5 (with Kristen Lindquist).
- 1 Brant, Kettle Cove, Cape Elizabeth, 1/5 (with Kristen Lindquist).
- 2 female Greater Scaup with 200+ Black Scoters, etc, Trundy Point, Cape Elizabeth, 1/5 (with Kristen Lindquist).
- 1 SWAMP SPARROW and 1 immature Northern Shrike, Village Crossings, Cape Elizabeth, 1/5 (with Kristen Lindquist).
- 5 drake Barrow's Goldeneyes are now present in the Lower Harraseeket River here in South Freeport, concentrated in the open water around Winslow Park. At least 14 DUNLIN continue here as well.
- all three mergansers continue in the limited open water of Grist Mill Park in Yarmouth through week's end.
