I agree the trend over the last 8 years has been for more overwintering bluebirds in Sagadahoc County (and nearby). But I think it started last year, and this year looks to be rapidly catching up to Jan 2013 levels. Certain spots seem to be developing as winter strongholds: the Bath (North) boat landing seems to be reliable this year (and last). A tangle of bittersweet may be the draw. They're here (Sagadahoc) commonly enough that I don't always fill out an eBird report for them. And I see most while car-birding.
And recently, there have been small bunches down on the Phippsburg Penin. (as in Jan 2013). And Pork Point Road in Bowdoinham always seems to host a bunch. On Fri, Jan 10, 2014 at 6:01 PM, Peter Vickery <petervickery@roadrunner.com> wrote:
