Re: [Maine-birds] bluebirds

On way home from an appointment in Brunswick today with father-in-law, saw 9 Bluebirds on Pennel Way (Rd), Brunswick. I believe up to 12 have been seen there in recent days.   Have been seeing them, seemingly, everywhere.  Winn and Woodville Rd's in Falmouth have had an overwintering population for a number years. Their iridescent blue backs flash beautifully out against the snow. Rob...Cumberland

I've been seeing 1 - 9 bluebirds at various locations in Sagadahoc County on a regular basis, e.g., 9 today in Dresden.  They appear to be more widespread than in recent years.

I'd be interested whether others are also seeing bluebirds with greater frequency, despite the cold weather.

Best, Peter
