Ok. I wasn’t going to mention it, but the worst column I’ve ever written for the Bangor Daily News is about bird color – something I barely comprehend. As chosen by the editors, the title is: What Color is a Blue Jay? It appears tomorrow morning in the BDN, and is now online at http://bangordailynews.com/2014/01/10/outdoors/blue-jays-blueness-is-a-trick-of-light-not-a-pigment/. It applies to bluebirds, too.
