[Maine-birds] IMBD at River Point May 9

Just returned from banding at River Point. FOY Hermit Thrush and a recapture of a Red-Winged Blackbird first banded as at least 3 years old in 2011.  Can't resist inviting anyone interested to IMBD celebration. 

River Point Conservation Area: West Falmouth

International Migratory Bird Day - MAY 9

7:30 am – 8:15 am – Morning Bird Walk (meet at barn)

Bring your binoculars/scopes and field guides and join us for a walk through River Point as we look for migrating and resident birds.

8:30 am – 9:00 am – Banding Demo (at barn)

Meet us at the barn and learn about our bird banding operation and the research currently being conducted by BRI's biologists.

9:00 am – 9:30 am – Family/Children's Nature Walk (meet at barn)

Bring the kids and join us as we explore the nature around us.  Learn about the plants, trees and other wildlife that make their home at River Point.

 9:30 am – 10:00 am – Banding Demo (barn)

Meet us at the barn and learn about our bird banding operation and the research currently being conducted by BRI's biologists
