[Maine-birds] Great Crested Flycatcher

So I was going through my records last night and this morning and I thought I had seen a Great Crested Flycatcher. I dug through my records as I thought it was at Lake Josephine that I had seen it so I found my log from that trip and what I was remembering was an Eastern Kingbird. I had a photo of that sitting next to a Yellow Shafted Northern Flicker and the combination sort of melded in my memory into a GCFL. Dejected, I looked out the window and there was movement in the bush behind my house. Normally favored by the Eastern Phoebe's we have nesting in the yard, I assumed it was one of those, however I saw a yellowish belly. Closer look showed it was a GCFL. What were the odds?

So I started thinking about Cassowarys, and Secretary Birds, and Andean Condors. I will let you all know if any of those show up next. :-)

Cheers and happy birding!
