I'm having "yard birds" I've never had. Last night I was truly startled by two nighthawks swooping and soaring over my roof and back yard. I'm right in the middle of Bangor, and have never seen nighthawks here before; usually we have chimney swifts and bats. I was so excited that my daughter ended up calling me a "bird nerd". This does not bother me.
