Cindy and I birded roads around the Mouth of the Abby this morning and had an amazing time. Morning started out gray and gloomy, but as it brightened, activity really picked up.
We had the rare opportunity to see many species of warblers at the same time they were singing. Especially multiple Wilson's and multiple Canada Warblers, who seem to co-occupy similar habs here.
Total of 16 Warblers. Plus a bunch of FOY flies (Alder, Willow, and a bunch of GCFlies and Leasts). Also finally REVireos and Philly Vireos to join the BHVireos already present.
The Botanical Garden in Boothbay was also pretty good, despite the later hour. Only disappointment - zero Blackburnians who are usually numerous here. A singing Tennessee made up for the omission.
