[Maine-birds] Mimids

I get a kick out of them. Grey Catbirds are a dime a dozen, but over
the last few years I've become more attuned to Brown Thrashers
close-by.

No Grey Catbirds yet, but this evening before dark, on last out for
the dog, we did flush a Brown Thrasher from the road-side verge
of Knotweed debris.

A pair nested in that jungle last year, and it appears we have a
good chance of it happening again. Their chatter is jovial, good
humored, and quite entertaining. The best thing about them is that
they are quiet after dark, something that cannot always be said
about their neighbors, the whippoorwills.
