Gary Gulezian and I did the census on a sunny, breezy day. Total number of birds seen was 1039 with 13 species. Of the 1039 there were 300 Mallards and 645 Herring Gulls. Numbers of diving ducks were lower than usual, which has happened in the past after a stormy week in midwinter. Highlight was an adult Peregrine Falcon perched in the identical place as the one we saw on our last census (same bird?). The full report may be found on ebird using
