[Maine-birds] Monhegan Island WhatsApp bird alert and sightings update

As there have been lots of interesting sightings on Monhegan lately - a reminder that there is a Monhegan Birds WhatsApp group. To join, please download WhatsApp and send me the phone number associated with the account and I will add you to the group - brett.ewald90@gmail.com. I hope many more will join and share sightings!

I have posted an update of notable sightings on Monhegan Island that have taken place since the publication of The Birds of Monhegan, covering the Mar. 1, 2023 - May 22, 2024 period, on The Birds of Monhegan Facebook Page - https://www.facebook.com/groups/778377796965411. This includes island species #337 Hammond's Flycatcher and #338 Mountain Bluebird (thanks to Luke Seitz for the photos).  Please feel free to share sightings and photos from your time on the island.
