[Maine-birds] eastern road - scarborough shorebirds

Jan Pierson and I birded Eastern Road and were delighted to chance upon two curiousities on the marsh- David Ladd and Doug SuitorI

Together we saw the following shorebirds:

Semi Plover: 1
Killdeer: 1
Greater Yellowlegs: 3
Lesser Yellowlegs: 30
Semi Sandpiper: 80 or so juvs.
Least: 30+ juvs
Baird's Sandpiper: 1 bright, long-winged juv.
Pectoral Sandpiper: 2+
Stilt Sandpiper: 3 juvs.
Short-billed Dow: 5+
Long-billed Dow: 1 calling "kep" bird and another likely Long-bill.

No sparrows seen or flushed from the marsh - very surprising.

Best, Peter
