Shorebirds seem to be slipping away, with fewer each day. Highlights from the Lagoon area this morning, shortly after dawn:
1 Western Sandpiper - many photos
2 Am Golden Plovers
6 Pectoral Sands
Also - a female No Harrier was seen chasing and harassing a Cooper's Hawk, over the marsh near the entrance. Eventually drove the latter into hiding in some bushes. Didn't know Harriers could be so acrimonius.
No sign of Piping Plovers; also zero terns.
