[Maine-birds] grebe FW: eBird Report - Totman Cove, Phippsburg, Sep 23, 2012

Here's the eBird report from two days ago with the Horned grebe in Totman Cove. There are four very murky dark images, but you'll get the idea. In case any of you thought I was off my rocker. Hush now.

> Horned Grebe 1 bird dving near end of Baily Point rocks, positive ID. have a couple of lousy photos as was a little too far away to get good shot and sun was setting.. The bird was near but not with raft of Common eiders. Nice white throat, perky, jaunty aspect on water, quick, bobbing dives. Of interest is that I reported a Red Necked Grebe in the same area about a week ago. These two species are regulars here in the winter, but this is VERY early to see them here.
