Linda Woodard and I observed a Pied-billed Grebe during a canoe trip through Scarborough Marsh. It was located a short distance downstream of the Audubon nature center. Linda said it is the first she had seen one there. It was very cooperative and allowed several canoes with children to observe it. Other birds included Greater Yellowlegs, Lesser Yellowlegs, Semipalmated Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper, Semipalmated Plover, Herring Gull, Snowy Egret, Belted Kingfisher, crows, and a female Northern Harrier.
