[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights, 12/29-1/3

Hi all,

Just a few notes from the past six days included:

- 4 drake Barrow's Goldeneyes are now in the lower Harraseeket River here in South Freeport.

- 3 Rough-legged Hawks, Weskeag Marsh, Thomaston, 1/1 (With Paul Doiron, Kristen Lindquist, and Jeannette Lovitch.  Photos).

- 9 Iceland Gulls (1 adult, 1 2nd-W, 7 1st-W) and 1 1st-W Glaucous Gull, Owl's Head Harbor, 1/1 (with Paul Doiron, Kristen Lindquist, and Jeannette Lovitch.  Many photos).

- Influx of American Tree Sparrows this week, presumably due to ice storm plus increasing snow depth.  I noticed quite a few in multiple locations, including up to 7 in our Pownal yard where they are not even annual.
