Yesterday the semipalmated plovers were numerous at Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge. With semipalmated sandpipers and least sandpipers mixed in, the photo opportunities were fair considering low light and skittish flocks. Yellow legs, spotted sandpipers and some others that I was unable to identify were present, but were flying away at distances that did not allow snaps. All-in-all a very nice outing.
Cheers,
Dave
