[Maine-birds] Messalonskee Marsh Update

Most of interior Messalonskee lake is still locked up, but the marsh is open on the south side of the lake.

Notable returns there:

Sandhill Crane
Great Blue Heron
Pied-billed Grebe
Ring-necked Duck
Greater Scaup
Osprey
Rusty Blackbird

In the small ponds next to the information station (in big numbers):

Palm Warbler
Ruby-crowned kinglet
Myrtle Warbler

These were there as of Sunday, and I expect much more today as birds move in between rain storms.

Best,
Tony
