[Maine-birds] Barred Owl this morning

We just had a barred owl calling for about 20 minutes from about 9:30 - 9:50 AM  in the woods behind the house. This was the full "who-cooks-for-you" call and not some sort of alert or juvenile feeding type of call. I think this is the first time I have ever heard that in broad daylight. I have heard it on darker (cloudier) days or nearer to dusk, of course and I have seen them during the day but always silently watching. It sounds like one of the two we have in the area (one decidedly deeper voice and one higher, and this was he higher one) so my initial thought that it might be an interloper coming into a new area is likely not accurate.  I was wondering if they call out if they get rousted from a daytime spot and move to another? I would normally not think that would be the case as then whatever had pestered it in its former location would know where it was.

Thanks!
