Evan Obercian and I spent a couple of hours at Merryspring Nature Park in Camden this morning. The best birding was right around the parking lot - visitor center - garden area. Highlights included:
-- Co. Loon - 1 flyover
Osprey - 1
Chimney Swift - 1
Pileated Woodpecker - 1
Blue-headed Vireo - 3
Hermit Thrush - 2
FOY Gray Catbird - 1
10 warblers, including 7 FOYs--
Ovenbird - 1
Yellow Warbler - 2
Chestnut-sided Warbler - 1
Black-throated Green Warbler - lots!
Magnolia Warbler - 1
No. Parula - 1
Black-throated Blue Warbler - 1
White-throated Sparrow - many
FOY Swamp Sparrow
Purple Finch - 3+ singing
