[Maine-birds] Eurasian Wigeon

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

 

Here at the northern tip of Pushaw Lake in Hudson, in 16 years I've never even seen an American Wigeon. Tonight, just as the sun hit the horizon, there was a sudden knock on the door.

 

A neighbor (Gary Poisson) wanted to know if that was a European Wigeon out by my dock.

 

Yup, in the company of a male and female American Wigeon. Picture perfect. Still there, but too dark to see anymore.
