Hi folks,
I noticed tent caterpillars in our flowering plum as well as native cherry trees along Eight Rod Road in Augusta.
No blue-headed vireos in our neighborhood yet.
To add to Kristen Lindquist's report on Mt. Battie in Camden, has been in flower in our power right-of-way along Eight Rod Road in Augusta for at least a week. Beautiful flower!
Fly honeysuckle (Lonicera canadensis) has also been in flower in the woods surrounding our property
The yellow-flowered coltsfoot (Tussalago farfara) is brightening up roadside bands and roadside ditches with bands of yellow, sometimes in yellow patches.
Good birding
