[Maine-birds] Monhegan

4-5 Great Blue Herons circling the island
Belted Kingfisher at the Ice Pond
4 Purple Finches at my feeder all male
1 female Brown-headed Cowbird
Group of 8-10 Cedar Waxwings near Ice Pond

Watched a small hawk harassing 3 Crows over the Ice Pond for almost 5 minutes. It was probably a Merlin or a Sharp Shinned. It was a fascinating display. The hawk seemed unintimidated, it would land in the birch trees, wait, then take off I'm guessing toward a nest, fight with one or more crows then land and wait to attack again. The hawk finally left.
