[Maine-birds] MACHIAS SEAL ISLAND REPORT

So far the migration hasn't had me sitting on the edge of my seat but there is a trickle of birds.
New today:
at least 5 MERLINS travelling low and fast;
a half dozen or more PALM WARBLERS;
a single female PURPLE FINCH;
a single rather wild WILSON'S SNIPE;
several GREAT BLUE HERONS travelling;
at least 5 HERMIT THRUSHES;
1 unidentified thrush that looked suspiciously like a VEERY.

Yesterday's WOOD DUCK remains and is quite content to allow me within 40 feet.
