[Maine-birds] Biddeford Pool - Yellow-Breasted Chat

Started my day at sunrise at Biddeford Pool. Lots of Terns and Gulls, but despite it being low tide and all of that sand... no shorebids to be found. Lots of flocks of Cormorants flying from Camp Ellis towards the Pool and one huge flock of Gulls too. From Hills Beach I headed to the Eastpoint. Highlights were... Yellow-Breasted Chat in a tree with 5 house finches. Lots of Catbirds and Mockingbirds and also a Common Yellowthroat. Cedar Waxwings close to the trail entrance. When I got to the ramp to the beach I was overflown by a Norther Harrier and at least 100 Tree Swallows. Hit the beach by 7th St and there were very few shorebirds. Semipalmated Plovers and Sandpiers and Sanderlings. Very little diversity. Walked the beach to the Bathouse and then down the trail behind the pond where I had a Yellow Warbler and Red Eyed Vireo. When I got to Great Pond there were 15 Snowy Egrets and one BCNH. (Sorry Turk...this was MINUTES after we bumped into each other) also a pair of Semipalmated Sandpipers.

Walked to the Land Trust and had an Empidinoax Flycatcher (probably a Least) and a Northern Waterthrush. Walked back up the beach and saw much larger numbers, but the same three species...Semipalmated Plovers and Sandpipers and Sanderlings.
