[Maine-birds] MDI highlights from the past week

This past week has been good for birds on Mount Desert Island! I managed to get out birding almost every morning! In addition to the usual migratory songbirds, raptors, shorebirds, and seabirds, I had a number of notable sightings:

 

3 Green-winged Teal were at the MDI High School 03 September.

1 Buff-breasted Sandpiper at Seawall 07 September (photos taken).

1 Dunlin at sunrise on the Bar Harbor low-tide bar 04 August.

1 Willet at sunrise on the Bar Harbor low-tide bar 04 August.

3 Short-billed Dowitcher at sunrise on the Bar Harbor low-tide bar 04 August.

2 Solitary Sandpiper at the MDI High School all week.

1 Black-backed Woodpecker at the MDI High School 07 September.

1 Olive-sided Flycatcher at the Fabbri Picnic Area, Acadia National Park, 06 September.

2 Warbling Vireo at the Fabbri Picnic Area, Acadia National Park, 06 September.
